Free Baby Monitor

     Tonight I went to Babies R Us to look at car sears for the baby! It was so crazy in the store that I just picked up some hangers and blankets and decided to order the car seat online! I waited in line forever! I could tell the guy in front of me was in a hurry and ready to leave! Come to find out there was a big sale going on if you spent $150 you got a free monitor or diaper bag! When the lady asked him what he wanted he said, "I don't need anything" I stepped in and said, "can I have your free product" he said, "sure" I couldn't believe it! I was so excited!!! So we got a free baby monitor! Whoo hoo! I definitely thanked the man over and over! It pray his act of kindness comes back around to him! 

Big Boy

     Dacen is getting to be such a big boy! My sister took this pic of him laying in the theater room watching a movie! It cracks me up at what a big boy he looks like! Potty training is going great! I am so surprised at how the no diaper approach really worked! He has woke up every day with a dry pull up! He is even running to the potty and going all by himself now without me even asking if he has to go! I am off to bed now! I feel awful :( my allergies are really bad and on top of being pregnant I just feel like a mess! All I can think about is sleeping! LOL! I am so looking forward to this 3 day weekend!

Playdate

     Tonight Dacen had a play date! He met a little boy at the pool a couple of weeks ago! They were playing so well that his mom and I exchanged numbers so we could get them together to play again! They invited us over when I got off work today to play in the water and have pizza! I didn't get a pic because we were all having too much fun that I didn't even think to grab my phone from inside! I am so happy that Dacen has made a little friend to have play dates with! We are home now and I am exhausted! I think Dacen is too! We are chilling and watching Rio before I get him ready for bed! It is his new favorite movie! Ugh for some reason though I am miserable because I have the WORST heartburn right now! I even took some medicine! :( The baby had the hiccups too right now! Oh and potty training is still a super success! No accidents today! And he pooped in the potty! I am one proud mama! 

Bath and Body Works Haul

     Bath and Body Works recently had an online sale on their 3 wick candles and wallflowers plus only $1 shipping! They have their fall scents available so I just couldn't resist! I absolutely love Leaves but it is usually always sold out by the time I make it to the mall so I decided to buy 4 of the Leaves wallflowers for $20! I decided to do the wallflowers in all the same scent so maybe it will be stronger and lasting in my house! I also purchased 4 candles! They were on sale 2 for $22! I bought Leaves, Pumpkin Cupckae, Autumn, and Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin! They all smell so yummy and good! Smelling these amazing candles has me so ready for fall! I want to burn them right now but I may hold off atleast until it's September! Once I start burning a candle I seem to go through it pretty fast! So I am saving these up! I am not only excited about the Fall scents but I am so ready for Fall fashion! Scarves, boots, thin sweaters! Oh I can't wait! What are you most excited about for Fall? 

Meet the Teacher Night

     Tonight we went to the meet the teacher night for Dacen's Parent's Day Out that he will attend on Tuesday and Thursdays! We had a good time and I think Dacen is going to have a great year! There are lots of kids in his class and he seemed to play well with them! He didn't want to leave! Also, yay on the potty training! It has been one full week now with no diapers! Yesterday we didn't have any accidents and no accidents so far today! He is staying the night with his Granny J and Auntie Dacey tonight so lets hope he keeps it up! When I dropped him off he used the potty at their house so that was a good sign! 

Dovetail Grey

      We painted the baby room today! One step closer to getting ready for this bundle of joy! We decided to do the baby's room in grey with pops of yellow! We decided on this beautiful grey color by Sherwin Williams called Dovetail Grey! I think it turned out quite nice! Big thanks to my little sister Dacey for helping me tape the wall off and paint today! 

35 Weeks

     Today I am 35 weeks!  I can't believe 2 more weeks and I will be full term! This week I continued to have back pain and a little bit of nausea.  My doctor gave me some safe pain medicine I can take when my back is really hurting.  I took it one night before I went to bed but it made me really sick.  I basically almost threw up in my sleep.  I am not one to throw up so I just woke up really fast, swallowed, took a deep breath and tried going back to sleep.  So not sure if I want to swap the back pain for getting sick.  I still havea really bad heart burn but if I take the Pepcid my doctor gave me it helps!  My feet and hands started to swell a little bit this week.  The baby feels sooo low.  So I feel like I have to pee ALL the time!  Sometimes it even hurts to walk.  I do not have an appointment this week but we will have one next week along with another ultra sound.  I have not been checked yet so I am not sure if I am dilated any or not.  The only craving I have had this week is for Italian Jim's pizza!  Which I got to satisfy last night!  My goal this week is to buy the carseat and get it installed!  I think that is the last thing that we absolutely have to get done before the baby comes!  I am hoping this week will go by fast!  Oh and a little update on Dacen and Day 5 of no diapers!  He has done great today.  We even left the house for a little but and when we came home he had a dry pull up.  He also woke up with a dry pull up.  We have only had one accident today which was a poopy one!  That seems to be the only time we have had an accident so far!  He even ran and went to the potty without me asking if he had to go! The no diaper solution is working wonders!  I think we about have this potty training down :) Which is so awesome because it was a goal of mine to get Dacen out of the diapers before the baby came!  I couldn't be more proud of how well Dacen has been doing! 

Day 4: No Diapers

  Whoo hoo day 4! Dacen woke up this morning with a dry diaper! We went outside and he peed for me! Today we decided to leave the house! We went and had lunch and I put a pull up on him! When we got home he was dry! I went and got my hair colored and cut today and while I was gone Dacen peed in the big potty! When I got home he even went a couple times for me! We did have a poop accident again though! I caught him bent over and I tried to pick him up and get him to the potty but wasn't fast enough! My sister is on a date tonight and Steve was working on knives so my mom, Dacen, and I went to Italian Jim's I had been craving it since last weekend when we had it! It's the best! I put a pull-up on Dacen and he tried to go to the potty while we were out but he didn't need to go. When we got home he had a dry pull-up and he peed in the big potty for me! So day 4 only had one accident! Whoo hoo! Now we are relaxing in bed while Dacen plays on the pie pad as he calls the IPad and I am trying out a face mask! Love the weekends! Tomorrow I am going to try and paint the baby's room since I bought the paint today! 

Day 3: No Diapers

      Today is day 3 of no diapers! Yay! Dacen woke up this morning with a dry pull up too! We went outside on the patio to play with play-doh and he peed outside! The rest of the day he peed in the big potty! He does a mix of standing and sometimes he wants to sit down! I'm so proud of him! We only had one accident today and that was when he had to poop he didn't quite make it but he tried! He was standing by his little potty and he started saying "what's happening" I tried to pull his pants down really quick and sit him on the little potty but it was too late! But he was so close! That's the only accident we had today though so I couldn't be happier! One time we were even outside on the back patio and he went to the door and said "go potty" when we took him inside he went right to the big potty and peed! We rewarded him with an Oreo of course :) We still have not left the house to go anywhere yet! I think I might start slow like with a walk at night or a car ride somewhere! I am amazed at how successful the no diaper tactic has been! We will see how tomorrow goes! Maybe we will be accident free! 

Day 2: No Diapers

     Well we did it! Day 2 is down and Dacen didn't wear any diapers or pull-ups! Last night I put a pull up on him when he went to bed but when he woke up this morning it was dry! He only had a couple of accidents today! I have to make sure I am constantly asking him if he has to go potty and I have to make sure and always have my eyes on him! He pee peed in the big potty for Steve! He had a good idea that helped! He put a piece of toilet paper in the toilet and told Dacen to pee on it! It worked great and he wasn't scared at all! Earlier today when my mom watched him had did Poop in the big potty but he was not too happy about it! So maybe he is starting to warm up to it now! This potty training stuff is definitely hard work but hoping that by the end if the weekend we will have it down! Looking forward to day 3 and hoping it get easier! Oh and we got him to finally put on big boy underwear! Check him out! 

Day 1: No Diapers

     Today was Day 1 of NO more diapers! We HAVE got to get Dacen potty trained in the next couple of weeks.  It is mandatory that your kid is potty trained in order for them to attend the Mother's Day Out program for 3 year olds.  Mother's Day Out will start on September 3rd.  There is a couple of others that are not quite potty trained yet either so they are giving us 2 weeks after it starts to see if they catch on.  However, we are on a mission now to get him potty trained before if we can.  We have tried multiple times but I am to blame because where I think I have failed is that I always end up putting a pull up or diaper on him.  So my sister and I decided that the best way to get him potty trained would be to do away with the diapers and pull-ups! I have heard that it takes about 3 days with no diapers or pull-ups and then they are trained! So we shall see :)  Today has been a huge success!!!  I went into the office this morning so my sister actually started it off since she was watching him.  I came home around lunch and she had told me the good news about how Dacen had not had a diaper on and no accidents!  They played outside this morning and he would go pee pee in the yard! So I decided to stick with the no diapers! He went multiple times for us outside!  When Steve came home he wanted to go out to eat.  It was very tempting but I said no.  Let's eat something at home so we don't have to put a diaper on Dacen.  Good thing I made this decision because moments later he pooped in the potty!  He has even started to tell me, "I got to potty" He goes to his little potty and pulls his pants down! He doesn't always go but I think it's a wonderful start! I couldn't be happier! We have been rewarding him today with Oreos :)  I will be putting a diaper on him when he goes to bed.  But I am waiting up until the last minute. Hoping we make it through Day 2 tomorrow! I am so proud of how he has done today! 

A Day with Daddy

     Today was Dacey's first day of college classes and I had to go into the office for a training so Steve got to stay home with Dacen today!  They had a good time together!  In the middle of my training I got a text from Steve with this pic that said, "Does this match"  HAHA!  I know everyone probably seen the smile come across my face when I recieved it!  Even though it doesn't really match I give him props for trying! LOL! :)  I am glad they got to spend some quality time together today!  I was so ready to see them when I walked in the door! I am off to get ready for bed now!  I am exhausted!   

Baby Bed is Up!

      This weekend we got our baby bed put up! Finally! We are quite behind on getting the room together but hey we are one step closer now! This is the bed we used with Dacen! It is from Pottery Barn! I would highly recommend their furniture! They have such great quality! We decided to do the room in grey with pops of yellow for color! We are going to paint the wall behind the bed a grey! I'm thinking about Dovetail Grey from Sherwin Williams! As far as bumpers go I have not bought one yet! I recently heard from my sister in law that it is recommended to NOT have a bumper now. Have you heard this? It was the first I had heard of it! So not sure if we will be getting one or not! I purchased the chevron crib sheet from Pottery Barn and love it! I also purchased some chevron curtains on Etsy that I can't wait to get in the mail! If you have any baby room ideas I would love to hear! 

34 Weeks

     Today I am 34 weeks! Getting closer!! Yay! This week my new symptom has been really bad back pain! And alot of Braxton Hicks contractions! It's getting harder and harder to sleep! A little bit of insomnia has set in! One night I wasn't able to fall asleep until 2 and then I woke up at 5 this morning and couldn't fall back asleep! My feet still hurt and I still have to pee ALL the time! I probably get up atleast 1-2 times during the night and some nights more! I haven't really been craving anything lately! If I had to pick something I have enjoyed eating almost every night lately it is a bowl of cereal but after I eat it and lay down to go to bed I start to feel sick and sometimes wish I hadn't ate it! Looking forward to tomorrow! I have a doctor appointment! I am going every two weeks now! Excited to hear what the doctor has to say! 

Italian Jim's

     Tonight I had dinner with my mom and sister at Italian Jim's! It is my all time favorite pizza place! It was soooo yummy! Today Steve got the baby bed set up l! Yay! We are using the sane bed and changing table we did for Dacen! We got it at Pottery Barn and it's in really good shape still! I love Pottery Barn even though it can be expensive it is so worth it because everything I have gotten from there has a great quality and lasts! We also looked at Babies R Us today and I bought some newborn diapers! I completely forgot just how tiny they are! So cute! Oh and I got a pedicure this morning! The color I picked is by OPI and I think it is called Red My Fortune!   So far this weekend has been a productive one! 

Dinner with My Loves

      Yay! It's Friday! I'm so glad it's the weekend! Tonight we went to dinner at Salt Grass! The crab cakes were awesome! I just got a side salad for dinner though. Stilling feeling nauseous and nothing sounded that great! I did steal a few of Dacen's fries though! Now we are home and even though its only around 9 I am so ready for bed! Going to get Dacen in his jammies and tucked in and then it will be off to bed for me too! Looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow!

The Last Season

     I am finally on the last season of Desperate Housewives! Season 8! It has been sooo good! And Steve has been watching them all with me now too since the middle of season 5!  I am not feeling good at all tonight so I plan on taking a hot bath and begin watching it! Ugh! Here lately I am back to feeling nauseous all the time! And my back is killing me! Not much to blog about tonight since I am feeling so yucky! Hoping I feel better tomorrow!

Thirty-One

     Today I got a gift in the mail! One of my co-workers sent me a surprise from Thirty-One! I love it! I will definitely be taking this zipper pouch with me to the hospital when I have Dacen! My co-worker and I are a team together and we had an awesome quarter so he sent this as a thank you! His wife sells Thirty-one stuff and I am always talking about how much I love their things! I thought this was so very nice of them to send to me! I wish him and his wife lived in Oklahoma so we could all hang out but they live in Tennesee! Maybe one day we will get to hang out!  I am hoping we have another great quarter! If you have not checked out Thirty-One! You definitely need to! You will love their stuff! Especially if you like to organize things! The second pic is a bag I previously purchased! I love it and this pouch goes with it perfectly! :) 

Dacen's 3rd Birthday Video

     My little sister Dacey makes a video every year for Dacen's birthday!  She is SO talented!  I just posted Dacen's 3rd Birthday video she made on YouTube today!  It brought the biggest smile to my face and brightened my day watching this video!  He is so lucky to have such a great Auntie Dacey and I am so lucky to have her as a sister!  I wanted to make sure and share it on my blog! It was such a fun day and I am so glad I have this video to look back on and cherish the memories of my little guy turning 3 :)

Frontier City

Yesterday we took Dacen to Frontier City! My in laws got us double park season passes this year for Whitewater and Frontier City! We hadn't been to Frontier City yet so we figured we would take Dacen and see what he thought about it! It's been sooo hard for me because I absolutely love roller coasters and any kind if rides and since I am pregnant I don't get to go on them! Steve said he thinks his parents will get them for us again next year since we didn't really get to use them much this year! Well went but it was soooo hot! And it was not much fun walking around a really hot amusement park pregnant! So we left after about 20 minutes! But Dacen did ride the boat with his daddy! He liked it at first but at the end not so much! LOL! I was surprised he even wanted to ride it! After Frontier Coty we were so hot so we took Dacen swimming! He liked that much better! It was a great way to end our weekend!

33 Weeks

     Today I am 33 weeks!  I am definintely ready for September to be here!  I feel huge and it's getting really hard to move around!  I pretty much waddle everywhere! LOL!  I haven't really had many new symptoms this past week.  Maybe some Braxton Hicks contractions every now and then and the baby feels lower to me!  I have still had heartburn so I have had to make sure and take the medicine my doctor gave me twice a day!  My feet still hurt but I just bought some vitamins today that my doctor said should help!  It should also help with the restless leg syndrome I have been having at night.  He told me to get Potassium Gluconate and Magnesium. I am hoping these vitamins will help!  I have noticed that my energy is low and that I get so worn out if I have to walk a bunch!  Cleaning the house is such a chore these days! The baby is kicking ALL the time!  Sometimes he has a fierce punch that will stop me in my tracks!  I have been eating alot better and as far as cravings go I really can't think of anything I have ate a ton of this week or that was a must have.  I can't believe I start seeing the doctor every two weeks now!  We still have not even started on the baby room yet! Eeek!  We HAVE GOT to get with it and get it put together soon!  We will have less than a month away before we know it!  One good thing is that we already have the furniture!  We bought Dacen a really nice bed and dresser/changing table from Pottery Barn Kids when he was born so we are going to use that same furniture with this one because it is still in excellent condition!  I ordered some curtains and have the color of paint picked out for a wall in the room.  So hopefully, it will all come together pretty quick! 

Despicable Me 2

Today Steve and I took Dacen to the movies to see Despicable Me 2! Dacen loves going to the movies and loves popcorn! I couldn't really get a good pic because the flash on my phone was so bright! Dacen's hair is a little greasy too because he kept covering his eyes on the scary parts and he had butter from the popcorn all over his hands! LOL! Other than covering his eyes on the scary parts he liked the movie alot!

Making The Team

The OKC Thunder girl tryouts were last night! I didn't get to go watch but I got to watch the video of the tryouts today! I absolutely love watching any type of dance! Sometimes I will even just YouTube dance competitions to watch! I thought it was pretty cool they recorded the Thunder tryouts and had them online to watch! My sister and I had a good time watching them! It reminded my sister of the show Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader: Making the Team! We both cant wait for the new season to premier. But that got me thinking about that show and wanting to watch it! So tonight I am relaxing and watching old episodes of it! I am pretty sure I will be falling asleep soon! Not feeling that great today! Pregnancy is getting the best of me! Looking forward to September! :)

Play-doh!!!

Dacen has been on a play-doh kick! It is his favorite toy to get and to play with! Tonight his Auntie Dacey and Granny J bought him a huge 32 piece play-doh set! He was soooo excited! I love hearing him laugh and seeing his big smile! It melts my heart! He kept saying "oh yes play-doh" it was so cute! And he says " don't eat it" cause that is what we are always telling him! I love him so much! So blessed to get to be his mommy!

The Shack

     Tonight Dacey watched Dacen for us and Steve and I went to The Shack.  It is a seafood and oyster bar.  I was not impressed at all. This was our first time there and I didn't really care for it.  I got the catfish and fried shrimp.  Steve thought it was okay but he wasn't that impressed either. We wished we would have just went to Shiki and got sushi! But it was fun to try a new place.  Today I had my doctor appointment and everything is looking great!  It was a super short visit.  I talked to the doctor about my restless leg syndrome and leg/foot cramps.  He suggested that I buy some potassium pills.  So next time I got to Target or Wal-Mart that is what I plan to buy.  I also got my Rogam shot. I have to have this shot since I am O negative type blood. I get a shot once around 32 weeks and then another when I have the baby.  Baby was doing good!  We got to hear the heartbeat which was around 150.  As far as my weight gain.  I am not where I was quite yet when I had Dacen but I am not far away.  I might end up gaining more weight with this one than I did with Dacen, but let's hope not! LOL!  I am off to go watch Pretty Little Liar's now!

New MAC Purchase

     Yesterday I went to the mall with my sister!  It was such a treat because Steve watched Dacen for us!  I ended up making a purchase I did not need but I got suckered in!  The guy at the MAC counter was super nice and so I felt the need to purchase something from him since he spent quite a bit of time answering my questions I had about their foundation.  I decided not to purchase any foundation yet.  I am still trying to decide between MAC, Chanel, and Bobbi Brown.  BUT he did try a new lip stain they have on me and I ended up really really liking it!  I kept looking in the mirror at how pretty the color and shine was so I couldn't help myself!  I bought it!  LOL! It is supposed to work with the PH of your skin.  So if my sister or someone else tried the same color on their lips it would look a different color!  I thought this was pretty cool and I like that it made my lips look more new!  My lips naturally have more of a red tint to them and I am always trying to lighten them up!  The lip stains are kinda pricey at $20 each.  But it does last long and the shine it gives is beautiful!  I did manage to make that my only purchase!  However, not real sure how much I needed it but it did make me feel good today when I went to put it on :)  Sometimes just purchasing a new lipstick can help brighten your week! 

32 Weeks

I am 32 weeks today! I can't believe I am 5 weeks away from being 37 weeks which I think is considered full term! Yikes! We haven't even started decorating the room! I haven't noticed any new symptoms this week! I know one thing I don't think I would recommend being pregnant in the summer! Whew! I am ready for fall! I have had more of an appetite! I actually have ate at my moms alot this week! She has fed me well! I probably gained 10 pounds! I have mg next doctor appointment on Tuesday! I am going to ask if there is anything I can do for the foot and leg cramps I have been having! Today my little sister turned 21!!! I can't believe she is 21! I didn't get to have a celebration drink with her! Boo :( Oh well I will have to have a toast with her after the little one arrives! This weekend was a fun one with lots of family time! Looking forward to another week of getting closer to my due date!

Early Birthday Celebration

Tomorrow my little sister turns 21!!! I can't believe she is going to be 21!!! Tonight we celebrated early by going to dinner at Outback! We had the cocunut shrimp which was so yummy! Dacen loves the bread there! I think he ate an entire loaf by himself! I am not good at waiting to give presents so I went ahead and gave Dacey her birthday present! I found the perfect little sign for her! Here is a pic below! I also got her gift cards to Pottery Barn, MAC, and Victoria's Secret! I wanted to go ahead and give her the gift cards in case she wanted to go to the mall tomorrow since it is tax free weekend! I loved getting to have dinner and spend time with her, my mom and Dacen tonight! Steve stayed home to watch his UFC fights! But that's okay with us we like our girl time (well girl time with Dacen being the center of attention) :) I hope she has a great 21st birthday!!!

Daceycouture YouTube Marathon

     I have been feeling awful this week!  Pregnancy is definitely kicking my booty!  I am so tired and by the end of the day I just want to take a shower and crawl into bed!  Those are going to be my Friday night plans tonight for sure! Our end of quarter at my work is finally over so I can take a deep breath and relax!  However, Monday a whole new quarter starts and so it all begins again! LOL! After I get Dacen ready for bed tonight I plan to take a shower crawl into my bed and have a daceycouture YouTube marathon!  Daceycouture is my little sister's YouTube Channel!  She has recently posted some videos that I have not got to watch so I plan on getting caught up on them tonight!  I love her videos and I am so proud of her! If you are into makeup, school organization/tips, or if you just want to hear a friendly voice you should go check her out! She has been doing YouTube videos for almost 3 years now so she has a ton of videos on her channel you can watch! Dacen and I are even featured in a couple!  I have posted some of her most recent ones below!  I would love it if you would go and subscribe to her :) 

Diaper Bag Decision

     I finally decided and purchased a diaper bag for the new baby!  Surprisingly, I didn't purchase the Tory Burch one that I first fell in love with.  I read some review and after looking at it closer it didn't seem as functional as some of the other I started to come across!  My sister and I were looking at the today and she found one that was cute AND functional! And I found it on my favorite site Zappos.com so I was able to get free shipping :) It was alot less expensive too!  Here is the link! It is by Petunia Pickle Bottom!  I like how you can wear it crossbody or as a backpack!  I really liked the color and print too!  I think the grey and white will go with everything!  The Zappos website even showed a video of the bag! I like this because I was able to get a better look at it rather than with some of the other bags I looked at.  On the other ones it was difficult to tell what the inside was like or how the outside pockets and straps were.  I am excited for it to arrive!  I can't wait to get it all packed up and ready for the hospital!  I will be needing to pack my own hospital bag before too long!  If you have any tips of what to pack in your hospital bag or even your diaper bag I would love to hear them!
